The 2013 Rehab Medicine Job Fair has created a Facebook event to further publicize the event. Currently, hundreds of students are planning to attend. The event is public, allowing students to spread the word among their colleagues in programs throughout the region. Due to popular demand, the 2013 UW Rehabilitation Medicine Job Fair committee has decided to extend the Early Bird Registration deadline to February 28th, 2013. After spending January 22nd-24th in San Diego at the APTA’s 2013 Combined Sections Meeting, many potential employers have requested additional time to complete registration materials. Therefore, we’ve chosen to extend the deadline for discounted registration through the month of February. That’s an extra four weeks! Some details:

University of Washington Rehabilitation Medicine Job Fair

On Saturday, April 13th, 2013, from 1:00-4:00pm, the University of Washington’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine will host their annual Rehab Medicine Job Fair at Mary Gates Hall. Last year, 37 prospective employers and 140 students attended out event. This year, we plan on increasing attendance by creating greater incentives for students as well as by inviting all rehabilitation students from programs in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Further, we also hope to advertise in the PTWA and WOTA newsletters to spread the word to current professionals and students in Washington.
