10 Tips to Prepare for the Fair
- Research employers in advance
- Create a well prepared resume & bring 10-15 copies to job fair
- Dress appropriately (Business Casual)
- Identify employers that interest you the most
- Arrive early to allow time to interact with employers
- Greet employers with a smile and handshake
- Prepare an introductory speech ( a two-three line script to introduce yourself & express your interest)
- Collect business cards
- Send a thank you note to employers you meet at job fair that interest you
- Complete any online applications as requested by employers
- Making the most of career fair
